Hearts for a Mother

Silken hearts to make for Mothers' day.

I dyed the silk and sewed heart shapes. Stuffed them nicely.

For the pink heart, sew on pearls in lines, Mothers like pearls.
Add ribbon flowers and scrunched leaves and trailing ribbon.

Complete with a ribbon hanger.

For the blue heart, cut shapes out of dyed silk and singe the edges. Loosely apply in a cascade.

Create a hatpin from beads and poke in beside the flower.

Add a ribbon hanger.

Mothers everywhere, mine is in NZ, Happy Mothers' day!

so very pretty. simplistic elegance. (I hope you don't mind that description) but sometimes the simplest things look the most elegant, and don't take that long to create but convey so much love these are gorgeous.
