Some of my Island haunts

The blue Pacific,
Moana-nui-a-kiwa, so vast and wonderful.

Took the photos on Maui recently.

The Art show under the banyon tree is in old Lahaina.

The tree is huge, covers most of the park.

Plenty of interesting items to buy in the galleries and open air shows.

Trinkets and black coral jewelry in another marketplace in Lahaina.

The coral divers lead a hazardous life, the coral is found at deep levels.

Such a beautiful place! You mean that ONE tree covers an entire park? WOW! My friend and her husband (and baby) have been stationed at Pearl Harbor for just about one year now. She hasn't made any visits back here to New England to see her family yet, so I suspect she's having a wonderful time staying put in Hawaii!

Oh yes! The banyon is huge and covers most of the park.
It puts down roots from above and they all take root so it expands.
