Lavender and velvet

The velvet embroidery I am so proud of.

My 94 year old Mum did it when I was in NZ this year.

I was stitching along as we watched TV, and she wanted to join me.

I had a couple of pieces of vintage velvet.

The blue piece tore right into pieces it was so old, but the burgundy piece was OK.

This is her result, now I have to make it into something. I love it. Suggestions anyone?

The Lavender pocket is for cards and tags, hangs up on a wall.

What a beautiful embroidery your Mom made! I think it would look gorgeous framed, after being incorporated into one of your own exquisite silk and fiber collages!
