So easy hearts

All you have to do is be able to sew a stem st. and have a few things on hand.
I suppose this is in the category of use what is on your desk or in the sewing basket.
I like Timtex double sticky on each side, for the motif.
Cut out a heart, size 2-3". Save the negative portion to make a different heart.
Get some dyed gauze or organdy or other open weave fabric.
Sandwich the heart between layers of gauze and bond in place. Use parchment for goodness sake.
Leave an edge of about an inch of gauze all around.
Now take 3 strands of embroidery floss and do a stem or other st. around the motif.
This is tricky so use a loose tension.
Good, now decorate the center some way, I used ribbon flowers, beads, a button, a tiny bow, a scrap of lace, keep it simple.
These are light like a feather and so pretty when added to projects.
Glue or stitch on.
NOTE: where I said Tyvek it should be Timtex.
