Last minute gifts

I have grandsons to give to, so made each of them a set of used denim wallets, Ori-Gire style.
Lined with dark red.
I hope they like them, not easy to create for the boys.
They must be tired of receiving gift certificates from me.
I will wrap each set in brown paper with red tape to tie.

Countdown to studio cleanup

Just putting things in place for my thanksgiving holiday.
My studio gets a daily vacuum but the shelves and table need work.
I shot some pictures so you would have a few things to look at meanwhile.
Dream book pages.
An organizer with some bits and a doll I made.
Another fabric book called the Wayfarer. Not quite completed .

Still here

The box is gone, maybe you thought I was gone. I leave next weekend.
Putting some last minute Holiday items up on Etsy.
A new journal, Joyeaux Noel, and the Noel banner that I created in the video.
Also adding the fun name-tags.
I teach another journal class tonight and will be selling that book too. I cannot save everything.
Don't want to become a hoarder! After the homes shown in Hawaii , filled with 'stuff', it made me clean out my studio real fast.

name tag project

make these name tags for a party or Art night, over the holidays.
Sew a piece of fabric to the bottom of a little baggie.
Fill bag with bits that reflect the person who will wear it.
Insert their name. Add a pin to attach.
A little gift at the same time that they can use later.
Mary Jane is a farm girl so the items inside are, buttons, pearls, lace scrap, small wood piece, country flower a piece of burlap, small rusty key, and her name.

Altered doll dress

I found a bunch of little doll dresses and have been altering them.
Most given to my little grand daughter tho.
Here is one I just finished I thought it looked kind of French.
Made the little wire hanger, maybe it could go on a tree.
Added more bells like the give away to my Etsy.
Will close it next week for my Thanksgiving jaunt away.
News about my Eiffel tower from Paper toys, tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Ephemera album

I keep my postcards and old ephemera in a couple of albums.
They are totally filled so I am starting a third.
By the way the 'book' the album is sitting on is one of my many boxes.
Crammed full of stuff of course.
It is called a book box naturally. I found it at Ross.

Fabric book from the provences

Fabric book with my sketches and some notes.
Sunny Provence featured, will finish it very soon.
I added the tabs to show a few days in my journey.

Island design

Since I had some vintage Hawaiian fabrics, been making cuffs and brooches and bags, even birds.
The cuffs here sort of looked like an art piece so I left them in a heap and this is the result.
Aloha
