Pages have lace scraps, motifs, trinkets, words and more.

The waxed book of France is made of old pages from books I collected in Toulouse.

I put some old photos in this one.
Used all kinds of lace and ribbons.
Added old hat roses and feathers.Words on the reverse side.
I like to hang this on a peg or lay it on the table or side board.

I intend creating some Mothers day items in next few weeks.
Love to use flour sack towels.

French decor markers

Over the years I have made these markers for gifts.
They can hang over a door, I have done some that is for a baby.
Others have gone into a bathroom with suitable words applied.
They are fun to make and do look a bit like ceramic.

Part of a series of French couture pincushions

Eiffel tower cuff

Cuff bracelet, yes, one of my handmade bits and pieces jewelry.
Spied the frayed silk pieces on my table and layered and stitched them to make this art piece.
For sale in my shop.

One of my Les Moulins sachets

Made with real lavender inside and decorated by hand and machine.
I used old sack material, any rustic fabric looks good.
Words were either stamped or embroidered and added as applique.
Nice addition to a wardrobe or the mud room.

I am the yellow ducky, front left in this number.
Can you believe?
This is what I do for fun or maybe I am a big kid at heart.
See the mermaid in the center and one beside me.
Just finishing a back dive under water, we are coming up to end number.

Here are some ways I might use this corsage.

As a tie back on a lace curtain.

Try it on a vintage powder bowl too.

Try this velvet flower.

This is for Niki, with thanks.
First tear a piece of velvet, hand dyed silk is mine. About 16 x 1.5"
Fold concertina style and cut rounded shapes along edge,
leave a small piece attached on other edge.
See picture, run a gather right along velvet and pull up threads and tie together securely.

Next sew around center again, and add a pearl.
Fasten well.
Make leaves by cutting green velvet with pinking sheers, I make an almond shape.
Cut small slits along each edge, trim a bit off each divot.
Fold and steam iron for a vein.
Create two leaves .

To finish the corsage, sew the leaves to the back of the flower, add some silk rippins, that is looped and attached to back.

Made the key or bag tag from old French paper.
Can be added to your back-pack or used as a key tag.
Maybe a bookmark.
I made a little burlap bag to hold it as a gift.
Very cool!
