Attitude Paris cover

French fabric book cover.
Yes it is for sale.

Not totally gone.

Yes bit annoyed really, but you can find all the videos on YouTube, their original home.
My name there is, moananui1.
I hope to continue to make more do not worry. I'm good to go!
I think Youtube probably polices the videos better.

Thanks friends.
The mail bag is large and created with same transfer method, plus another.
Pages of 'Attitude Paris', journal just completed

Which are handmade?

Guess which flowers I made and which I did not!
In the French tradition I made some blooms to apply to my art.

Yes you guessed, I made the clay flowers and painted them with a friend visiting from NZ. Some I waxed.

Wedding art

I have made bridal gowns can you believe?
Now I just make the small stuff.
here is a box that holds the book.
a quick picture I painted and a vintage book.

One example of the challenge I posted below.

As promised I have made some collage projects using the simple elements pictured.
For this one, I wanted to make a frame or shadow box effect .
I did not have one so made one from cereal box card. Pretty basic.
To stabilize the frame I glued on corrugated cardboard.
Then to give dimension to the elements I used tacky glue and hot-glue in 'globs.' Technical term here.
I distressed all the images a little and dry brushed with white paint. See the finished item for ideas I added.

Journal, Fabrique de Paris

Another of my brown paper books. This one has a fabric quilt on half the pages and space to journal or glue on the opposite sides.
Has a hand sewn binding and covered button on cover.
Love to add lace and trinkets to this and enclose tags in the 2 pockets. Pages sewn from french quilting fabrics to create the vintage look.
16 pages with charming fashion prints.
Thanks to all who leave me comments.
By the way, I must be unlucky, the last winner of my give away did not want to send me her address I guess.
So I will pass prize along to the next person in the comments.

Gypsy kit

I often make starter kits for inspiration.

This one reminds me of scene I saw last year, colorful and a little wild.
When I arrived in Toulouse, France, there were dozens of gypsies with their dogs, right outside the train station.
Some with a bit of music, most hanging out.
A very raggedy group with lots of laughing and noise.
I did hurry along, dragging my bag right to my Hotel across the street.!
Memories are made of this!

Butterfly heart

Pretty art heart to grace a bedroom dresser
The butterfly is imported and hand dyed by moi!
Nice to rest the eyes with so much going on in life.
That's why I make some dreamy looks.
I need the softness to soothe my spirit.
How about you?

Book of Sonnets

This is an album of Shakespeare's Sonnets that I made for a class I taught.
I like the look of the black backgrounds and the pockets that hold tags.

Provence stitchery

if you enlarge the embroidery you can see how much I have done so far.
I am still working on this, a sketch I did in South of France.
I have beading and bits and pieces to add.
This type of art is one of my favorites, I have made many over the years.
Easy to put away for a while and pick up later.
The border will get painted over and maybe something else to drab it.

Goofy me, just for fun

Got new shoes and was admiring them on my Lanai.
Looked cool with the jungle behind.
I will wear them with my Mermaid tail!
Maybe not!
You know I have a goofy side!
So this is also art

re-cycle book

Made a scrap book or glue book with about 4 grocery 'brown bags'
Lots of pages ready to use.
I made the cover keeping it simple.
Binding is sewn and then wrapped with scrim, very old lace, a flower I created, and some old ball trim.
To give the pages a worn look and to soften them I soaked them in water and crushed them a little before putting on my Lanai to dry.

Race bag, script bag

I made the bag from drab green, painted canvas, with a stained ticking back.
3 pockets on the front to hold the program, map, tickets and more.
Lots of fun to use, a lucky bag.

Election week and I am working, working, so posts are a bit slow.

Keeping nimble fingers

I find I do have to bring back former ideas and methods when I create, do not want to lose them.
My fingers need to remember how I worked and my brain must constantly process the details.
Older techniques like knitting and crochet for example, now what was the best way to cast on?
I am amazed how I forget.
Anyway I like few words in posts, so that stated, here is some crazy quilting I am working on at present.
