Have some fun with Plastic

When I return from my trip I will do a video on this technique and make better samples.
Plastic grocery bags re-cycled.
I do use cloth grocery bags!
So here are 3 of the items, all wallets made from plastic bags, paint and handmade trinkets.

Starting to pack

a journal I made with an old book cover.
Lots of re-cycled ephemera pages, envelopes and art.
When I return I will show inside pages

Sands of time, winner of give away too

Winner of the project below is Gil in the UK.
Congratulations.

here is another waxed pouch, called" sands of time" because I used a tiny bottle with sand to enhance the zipper- pull.
How cute, and I am not really cute at all!

Crazy quilted gem

Found a battered old purse frame so made a CQ pouch with it.
Quick to make since only 7" high.
I had a little basket of items that could work so I challenged myself to use just them and nothing from other places.
Back is pieced with crushed velvet picked up in Australia.

You can catch my videos on upper left of page.

few waxed items

the journal has the image on cover from my video.
Brooch and pendant I did last week.

Sometimes to remove all the paper is not easy, I let them dry, then wet again and repeat.
If you are waxing them, a bit of cloudy look will disappear with wax. Hope this helps Rhonda.
