Fabric for mailbag, Took the photo on my header in Avignon.

I took some pre-washed canvas and mixed up a grouping of green, brown and black paints and dyes.
Tested tested tested until samples looked right. Sort of drab olive.
Painted on the canvas and dried in the sun.
I touched up with a little brown dry brushed on and then sanded the canvas gently for a worn look
This is another bag seen in the Flea markets. Good for maps or for the races

Well Lilla your experimentation has really worked - I love this colour - probably olivey green is my favourite green! It certainly gives that canvas an old worn look - beautiful work!
Oh Avignon has some amazing buildings and churches like the Church of St. Pierre.
